Farmina Vet Life Renal Canine Dog Food is a prescription diet designed to support your dog’s renal health. It’s primarily designed for dogs with renal insufficiency or failure, but it may also help to support dogs with cardiac disease or Hepatic Encephalopathy. It may help to decrease the mean values of your dog’s blood parameters, as well as the urine protein to creatinine ratio. You can feed it to support your dog with acute kidney disease or chronic renal insufficiency.

Unless your Veterinarian has told you otherwise, when switching your pet to a Farmina diet from a different food, we suggest making the transition over 10 Days. From days 1 to 3 we recommend feeding 75% of the old food and 25% of the new food. From days 4 to 6 feed 50% old and 50% new. From days 7 to 9 feed 25% old and 75% new. Finally, on day 10 you can start exclusively feeding the new food.
