Salmonella typhimurium Bacterin-toxoid

• No vaccine can prevent an intestine from being blocked or twisted nor a mare’s placenta from being retained.
• Horses vaccinated with ENDOVAC-Equi®, however, develop anti-endotoxin antibodies which neutralize the deadly endotoxins released during such a crisis.
• This reduction of endotoxins keeps the patient alive and allows corrective treatment to be more successful, according to veterinarians who use ENDOVAC-Equi® routinely.

Why should I consider using ENDOVAC-Equi®?

• New immunological approach: protects against gram-negative endotoxemic diseases.
• Cross-protection provided against endotoxemia caused by E. coli, Salmonella and Pasteurella in cattle; Salmonella and E. coli in horses; and Salmonella choleraesuis and Salmonella typhimurium in swine.
• Provides passively transferred immunity when given in late gestation, 4 – 6 weeks prior to birth.
• Safe in all trimesters of pregnancy.
• Safe in lactating cattle.
• 36-month shelf life.
• It is well documented that endotoxin-mediated disease is the #1 cause of death in horses, with mortality exceeding 50%.
• In the neonate, Salmonella sp. and E. coli are common causes of endotoxemias secondary to failure of passive transfer.
• The mortality rate may exceed that of the adult.
• To make a comparison, the mortality associated with Streptococcus equi, rhinopneumonitis and influenza combined is estimated at only 2-3%.

1 ml intramuscularly
